The City of Carbondale Forestry Division will conduct its curbside Christmas Tree Recycling Program from now through January 31.

Residents wanting their tree picked up should place it at the curb on their normal trash and recycling collection day.

If someone wants to dispose of their tree on a day other than their trash and recycling time can take their tree to a neighborhood drop-off site at the Carbondale Public Works complex on North Michaels Street, Parrish Park parking lot on West Sunset Drive and Attucks Park parking lot on North Wall Street.

Before dropping off the tree, make sure to discard any natural pine rope, wreaths, garlands and flocked trees.

As a news producer and news anchor on All Things Considered, Brad provides the listeners with a recap of the day's top local and state news as well as breaking news at any given time. Contact WSIU Radio at 618-453-6101 or email wsiunews@wsiu.org
