Campers can spend eclipse weekend at the DuQuoin State Fairgrounds

With the total solar eclipse quickly approaching, the Illinois Department of Agriculture announces online registration for campers at the Du Quoin State Fairground.

The Eclipse weekend package includes a four-night stay from Friday April 5 though Tuesday, April 9. The fairgrounds are located within 20 miles of the solar eclipse path of totality occurring on April 8.

SIU-Carbondale is hosting the Southern Illinois Crossroads Eclipse Festival in partnership with NASA to offer a variety of events and activities leading to the main event, Eclipse day at Saluki Stadium.
