The City of Carbondale condemns any behavior that will make any residents within our community feel uncomfortable or unsafe due to their race, religion, sexuality, gender identity, or any other form of discrimination.

The Carbondale community mourns for all innocent civilians lost in this ongoing conflict in Palestine & Israel, and for our communities impacted in Carbondale and worldwide.

At the request of our community, the City of Carbondale is facilitating a community gathering on Tuesday, April 30th, 5:30- 7 PM, at the Carbondale Public Library to provide a safe space for our community members to speak to their lived experience and express their grief and concerns.

Following this gathering, a candlelight vigil will be held to honor and grieve the unjust loss of life collectively witnessed in the last several months.
