The City of Carbondale Asks for Resident Input on Urban Flooding With a Chance to Win Prizes

The City of Carbondale and the Greater Egypt Regional Planning Commission are developing a Stormwater Master Plan for the community.

The City of Carbondale and the Greater Egypt Regional Planning Commission are developing a Stormwater Master Plan for the community. The plan will be used as a 'decision-making document' that helps the city address stormwater hazards and prepare for seasonal flooding.

The City of Carbondale also requests input through a Community Survey on Urban Flooding, where residents can report flooding and submit photos of incidents they notice.

Those who complete the survey will be entered in a raffle to win a season pass to the Super Splash Park, the Science Center, or a Warehouse the Ultimate Gym membership. The survey can be found on the City of Carbondale's website.

Residents also have the option to attend an in-person Public Engagement Session on Urban Flooding, held in the Eurma Hayes Center on October 30 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
