A popular local musician will be part of what's being dubbed the Grand Reopening Show at Hangar 9 in Carbondale.
Co-owner Scott Moller says Ivas John Band will headline the night's activities the weekend before the fall semester kicks off at SIU.
The festivities will also include a guest appearance by Bruce Brown of The Charlie Daniels Band.
Following Ivas John Band, DJ Shastavision will play dance tracks late into the night.
The Grand Reopening Show is set for Saturday, August 16 starting at 6 p.m.

Moller and co-owner Andrew Perlmutter acquired the venue from longtime owner Sally Carter earlier this year.
