John A. Logan College President Kirk Overstreet has been named Chair of the Board of Directors for Artspace 304.

Artspace 304 is an institution dedicated to supporting regional artists and fostering community engagement through the arts.

It says Overstreet’s leadership will help strengthen Artspace 304’s educational programs, expand access to arts resources, and continue building opportunities for both established and emerging artists.

Artspace 304 started in 1987 as Carbondale Community Arts.

The non-profit organization says it has helped further creative endeavors in the Greater Carbondale area through more than $500,000 in grants and other types of aid.
