Neighborhood Co-Op General Manager Frances Murphy is retiring later this year.
His last day will be in June.
Murphy joined Neighborhood Co-op in its early days and led the relocation of the store to its present location at 1815 West Main Street in Carbondale.
During his tenure, Neighborhood Co-op Grocery has received numerous community choice and local business awards. Murphy himself was named Cooperative Manager of the Year by the Illinois Cooperative Council in March 2013.
The community-owned cooperative serving Carbondale and the surrounding region is now accepting applications for a new General Manager.
Applications will be accepted through the end of this month.
