Southeastern Illinois College nursing instructor Sessaly Davis has been awarded the Nurse Educator Fellowship Grant from the Illinois Board of Higher Education.
This prestigious $10,000 fellowship recognizes Davis's dedication to nursing education, student success, and professional development.
Davis began her instructing career in 2018 at S-I-C after receiving her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She went on to receive her Master of Science in Nursing a year later.
Davis says she honored to receive this fellowship. She says, quote, "This opportunity allows me to enhance my professional skills and support my mission of developing competent, compassionate, and skilled nursing professionals."
Davis plans to use the funds from the fellowship to attend professional development opportunities which will allow her better serve S-I-C's nursing students.
