Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker recently touted enrollment at public universities in the state as being at its highest level since 2015.

But, the President of the University Professionals of Illinois Local 4100 and Illinois Federation of Teachers Membership secretary said if the governor wants to hype enrollment numbers, he should release $25 million dollars owed to higher education, work to fix understaffed departments, inadequate resources and student-support systems pushed to the breaking point.

WSIU's Brad Palmer talked about this with SIU-Carbondale Chancellor Austin Lane.
