The Paul Simon Public Policy Institute is partnering with the Center for Tax and Budget Accountability to host a panel discussion entitled, "The Future of Higher Education in Illinois: Dollars, Demographics, and Technology."
The panelists include:
SIU System President Dan Mahony
Illinois State Representative Carol Ammons from Urbana
Jim Nowlan, who is the author of several books on Illinois politics and government, a former lawmaker and retired university professor
Ralph Martire, executive director of the Center for Tax and Budget Accountability
WSIU's Brad Palmer previewed the event with Simon Institute director John Shaw.
The Future of Higher Education Summit is Tuesday, Nov. 4 at the SIU Student Center. There will be a reception from 5-5:30 p.m. at the John W. Corker Lounge with the panel discussion running from 5:30 to 7 p.m. in Ballroom B.
Registration is encouraged, but not required.
If you can’t make it in person, the discussion will be videotaped and available on the Simon Institute’s YouTube channel.
