Southern Illinois University’s Paul Simon Public Policy Institute will host Francis J. Gavin, director of the Henry Kissinger Center for Global Affairs at Johns Hopkins University, for a virtual conversation on September 24. Gavin will discuss his new book, Thinking Historically — A Guide to Statecraft and Strategy, with institute director John Shaw. The event begins at 10 a.m. on Zoom and is free to the public with registration required. Gavin, a noted historian and policy expert, has taught at Harvard, MIT, and the University of Texas.
