Ameren Illinois offers free programs to help businesses and residents who are considering converting to electric vehicles.
Seven communities have participated in the Fleet Assessment and Community Engagement and Consultation Programs. They are Carbondale, Marion, Murphysboro, Herrin, Harrisburg, Ziegler and Metropolis.
WSIU's Brad Palmer talked about these programs, starting with fleet assessment, with Mark Minden, a beneficial electrification executive with Ameren Illinois.
