Community members are needed to help health officials improve services for opioid use disorders.
Arrowleaf and the Southern 7 Health Department are distributing surveys to understand the beliefs, attitudes and understanding of opioid use disorder, as well as identifying community needs. They are seeking respondents from Pope and Hardin counties.
Southern 7 Health Education Director Natalie Sawyer said they want to hear from anyone in those communities.
“So, it is not just for doctors or anyone who is specializing in any sort of substance use disorder treatment or anything like that,” she said. “If you have family members, if you yourself are a recovered substance use person, anything that involves that. If you know someone, if you've seen it happen, then you're eligible to take it as well, as long as you live or work in Hardin or Pope county.”
To take the surveys, go to the Hardin County survey page or Pope County survey page.
