Boost your mood and attitude through a free program on July 2 at Memorial Hospital of Chester hosted by University of Illinois Extension. Our lives are bombarded with negativity and stress. New research in neuroscience and positive psychology shows that when we experience happiness and positivity, it turns on all the learning centers in the brain and fuels positive outcomes in all aspects of our lives. Join Family Life Educator Robin Ridgley for a free program to understand common barriers to positivity and well-being, discover science-backed practices for positivity and productivity, and learn "happy hacks" to boost your mood and attitude.

Ridgley's program priorities relate to social-emotional wellness, aging well, brain health, and family relationships. She connects with local partners and community members to provide educational programming and resources on healthy living throughout the lifespan. "Negativity and stress can impact our emotional well-being, work, and closest relationships," said Ridgley. "Our program shares 'happy hacks' that can lead to better moods, a more productive lifestyle, and a positive outlook on life."

The free program is on July 2 at 10 a.m. at Memorial Hospital of Chester at 1900 State Street in Chester. Participants will meet in the conference room. Register online at www.mhchester.com/calendar-of-events. University of Illinois Extension provides equal opportunities in programs and employment. If you need a reasonable accommodation to participate in programming, contact Robin Ridgley at rridgley@illinois.edu. Early requests are strongly encouraged to allow sufficient time for meeting your needs.
