A $50 million dollar grant opportunity from the State of Illinois is available to support the Community Health Center Construction Grants for Federally Qualified Health Centers and look-alikes.
State officials say this funding is critical at a time when the Trump administration is cutting healthcare funding.
The grant opportunity will help with the construction or renovation of community-based health care facilities, especially for centers in underserved and rural areas.
Eligible providers have the opportunity to apply for up to $3 million dollars in capital improvement funding to enhance patient care and access, expand facility capacity, or update healthcare infrastructure.
Community Health Centers provide primary and preventative care to Illinois residents, regardless of a patient’s ability to pay.
