Two Carbondale residents have been arrested in connection with an incident outside a local bar this past weekend.
Police say around 2 a.m. Sunday, officers were in the 200 block of West Main Street monitoring a large crowd at a bar closing when they saw a fight break out.
They observed 36-year-old Travis Wooley armed with a firearm.
While officers were taking Wooley into custody after a brief foot chase, several shots were fired from the area where the fight originally occurred. Those suspects weren’t located.

They arrested Wooley for Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon, Possession of a Weapon by a Felon and Resisting or Obstructing a Peace Officer.
28-year-old Iesha Carter was also arrested for Obstructing Justice and Resisting a Peace Officer after she repeatedly interfered with officers’ attempts to arrest Wooley.
There were no injuries or property damage found as a result of the gunfire.
