Dispute leads to gunfire in Carbondale

What appears to be a dispute between acquaintances led to a shooting incident in Carbondale early Saturday morning.

Carbondale police officers responded to the emergency room at the Memorial Hospital of Carbondale to meet with a victim with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.

The victim reported being at a gathering in the 400 block of North Washington Street when shots were fired. According to the victim, the motive for the shooting appears to be the result of a recent dispute between the victim and known acquaintances.
