A man from western Kentucky has been sentenced to 15 years in federal prison after pleading guilty to traveling to southern Illinois to engage in sexual activity with a minor in May 2020.

The U.S. attorney reports 37-year-old Justin Wadsworth pleaded guilty to Attempted Enticement of a Minor and Attempted Commercial Sex Trafficking of a Child.

According to court documents, Wadsworth began unknowingly talking with an undercover FBI agent on April 2020 and admitted he was involved in incest with a close relative.

Wadsworth asked to see sexually-explicit photos and in return sent photos of females in various degrees of nudity. He claimed he would pay a thousand dollars for “young active fun.”

The pair arranged a meeting in Metropolis and when federal agents approached Wadsworth, he consented to an interview, where he claimed he had agreed to meet with the purported father to expose him and rescue the girl.
