A Marion teen is charged for December shootings in Carbondale

A Marion teenager has been charged for multiple shootings that occurred in Carbondale in December of 2022.

The 17-year-old has been charged as an adult with multiple counts of Aggravated Discharge of a Firearm and Aggravated Unlawful Possession of a Firearm.

The shooting incidents occurred on December 19 in the 500 block of South Forest Street and on December 24 in the 400 Block of West Pecan.

There were no injuries reported in the shootings.
