A car crashed into a Marion school Thursday night

A car crashed into a Marion school building late last night.

Marion Police report at just after 11 p.m., officers responded to Jefferson School and found a car had crashed into the south side of the school and was sitting inside the library. No one was in the school when the crash occurred.

The driver of the vehicle, 20-year-old Tiffany Meller of Marion, was issued citations for Underage Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor, Zero Tolerance, Failure to Reduce Speed to Avoid an Accident, Disregard a Traffic Control Device, No Valid License, and Operating an Uninsured Motor Vehicle.

Meller was transported to Heartland Regional Medical Center for treatment. Her condition is unknown.
