Two people were shot Sunday afternoon in Carbondale.

Carbondale Police responded to the 600 block of North Robert A. Stalls Avenue shortly before 4 p.m. on Sunday.

They eventually located two victims who left from the area for treatment of non-life-threatening gunshot wounds at Memorial Hospital of Carbondale. One of the victims has been released and the other is in stable condition.

During the course of the investigation, officers learned three suspects, described as black men in their late teens or early 20’s, confronted the victims during a personal dispute resulting in multiple shots being fired.

Anyone with information about the incident is encouraged to contact the Carbondale Police Department or the Crime Stoppers tip line at (618) 549-COPS.
