Eldorado man charged with First Degree Murder

A Saline County man is accused of killing another man with a gun.

The Illinois State Police arrested 25-year-old Jesse Trout of Eldorado for First-Degree Murder following a homicide investigation conducted at the request of the Eldorado Police Department.

On September 7, shortly after 5:00 a.m., Eldorado Police Officers responded to a 9-1-1 call in reference to an individual shot near the corner of Benton Street and First Street in Eldorado.

When they arrived, officers found a 44-year-old man, identified as Michael Wiseman of Eldorado, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Wiseman later died from his injuries at an area hospital.

Trout's preliminary hearing is set for this coming Monday.
