A suspect is being sought for a shooting incident Monday night in Marion.

The Marion Police Department received a 9-1-1 call soon after 8 p.m. Monday about a shooting that had just occurred in the 1800 block of North State Street and that someone had been shot.

Officers found a man with multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to a nearby hospital and is currently being treated for his injuries.

Officers say this incident is considered isolated; but, the Marion Police Department has identified a subject wanted for questioning.

They say 18-year-old Jameson Gibbs is described as 6'0" tall, 130 lbs., with black hair and brown eyes. He should be considered armed and dangerous.

If Gibbs is located, do not approach him. Instead, call 911 or the Marion Police Department at 618-993-2124.
