A Randolph County man has pleaded guilty to three counts of Predatory Criminal Sexual Assault of a Child.

The Sparta Police Department says 67-year-old Clyde Thibodeau of Tilden entered the guilty plea Monday during a status hearing at the Randolph County Courthouse.

Each charge carries a potential 60-year sentence with a total of up to 180 years to be served consecutively.

Thibodeau must serve at least 85 percent of that time in a state prison.

In July, Thibodeau was charged with 8 counts of Predatory Criminal Sexual Assault of a Child and 1 count of Aggravated Criminal Sexual Abuse for the offenses that took place in Randolph County.

11 victims were identified over a period of approximately 50 years, and in the following locations: Randolph County, St. Clair County, and the State of Louisiana. Some of the possible victims ranged from 3 to 11 years of age at the time of the incidents.
