In Carbondale, Confluence Books is hosting a Cookbook Swap this Saturday from 8AM-Noon at The Farmer’s Market in Carbondale. Proceeds benefit the Southern Illinois Collaborative Kitchen.

 
In Mt Vernon, Bill Forness will perform a Johnny Cash Tribute this Saturday at 2:00pm in the Schweinfurth Museum at the Jefferson County Historical Village.
Bill Forness Celebrates the life and music of one of the most influential musicians of our time. Bill Forness has mastered the essence of a real Johnny Cash performance, with a deep baritone voice and a theatrical stage presence.
This is a free program. The Jefferson County Historical Village is located at 1411 North 27th Street in Mt. Vernon. For more information contact the Historical Society office at (618) 246-0033.

 
The Olney Central College Music Department’s Jazz and Concert bands will present their fall concert at 7 p.m. on Oct. 25 in the Dr. John D. Stull Performing Arts Center. The bands are under the direction of OCC Director of Bands Wade Baker.

 

In Carterville, The Lions Club invites you to take a haunting adventure through the dark woods at their annual Haunted Hayride. The event is held at 501 James Street October 26-28th beginning at 7pm each night.
