Crab Orchard National Wildlife Refuge hosts Kids Free Fishing Derby June 14th at the Prairie Creek Recreation Area. Registration and breakfast for kids begins at 8 and then enjoy bank fishing until 11am. The derby is a fishing contest for 5 age groups with 3 prizes in each of those groups. (age groups: Under 5, 5-6, 7-8, 9-10, 11-12) Lunch enjoy free lunch while supplies last. There will also be a Live fish shocking demonstration followed by award presentations for all age groups for Biggest, Smallest, & Most Fish Caught.
