River to River Corvette Show is set for Saturday, September 13, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in a new location on Highway148, half mile north of Route l3 on the parking lot of Herrin Church of Christ. VETERANS ON PARADE celebrate their 21st Anniversary Saturday Sept. 6 at 10 a.m.in Marion with parade beginning at Marion High School and Marion Junior High with an ending at Washington School, Main street off Tower Square. Ed Davis is Parade Chair. Visitors come from all over southern Illinois to support the parade with many walking to participate, bands playing, floats, convertibles and trucks carrying veterans .
