The Fright Stuff, is described an all-access documentary that takes you behind the scenes of the haunted attraction industry in the U.S. Its creators are a pair of SIU-Carbondale graduates. The Fright Stuff will be screened for free at the Varsity Center in Carbondale this Wednesday, October 8 at 7 p.m. Doors open at 6.

Youth firearm deer hunting season opens statewide Oct. 11-13. The season is open to youth under the age of 18. Youth hunters must have a current, valid apprentice or youth hunting license and have completed a state-approved hunter education course unless exempt.
