The Wabash Valley College Foundation hosts its Annual Chili Supper on Saturday, February 28th from 4 to 7pm at Warrior Grill in Mount Carmel, IL Tickets include a meal and drink for dine-in or carry-out. Desserts will also available. Proceeds benefit the WVC Foundation, supporting scholarships and educational opportunities for students. Carbondale’s annual Neighborhood Alliance Meeting will take place Saturday, February 7, at the Carbondale Public Library. A hybrid event, the meeting can be accessed via a Zoom facilitated by the Library. Registration begins at 9:30 and the meeting starts at 10 a.m., wrapping up by noon. As usual, many area organizations will give updates on their activities and plans for 2026. Topics to be covered include the Carbondale Community Housing NFP and Find Help, as well as changes at the City. Several representatives from City departments will be available for Q & A.
