SIU Swimming and Diving Coach cleared of wrongdoing

SIU Administrators say their investigation into Swimming and Diving Coach Geoff Hanson is finished - and they've cleared him of wrongdoing.

A Title IX investigation was launched when two student athletes accused Hanson of sexual harassment and emotional abuse in an interview with the Daily Egyptian student newspaper.

Interim Athletic Director Matt Kupec says after a thorough investigation by the SIU Title IX office, Hanson has been cleared and the accusations were found to be unsubstantiated.
