Former Saluki Jeremy Chinn signs with Washington

Former SIU Saluki football standout Jeremy Chinn is joining the Washington Commanders.

He signed a one-year deal worth up to $5.1 million.

The 26-year-old Chinn was a second-round pick of Carolina in 2020. He spent four seasons with the Panthers.

Chinn finished second in the 2020 NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year voting.

Chinn and former Saluki Ryan Neal, who is with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, were back at SIU to sign autographs before a Saluki basketball game on February 17.
