Mike Hanes came to SIU in 1965 and served as director of bands until his retirement in 2005.

Southern posted a team GPA of 3.856.

In total, Price-Smith won 25 national titles, the most by any woman in U.S. history.

The two former Salukis are making their third appearances and the current Saluki is making her first.
