Saluki men's basketball is adding players to its roster for new coach Scott Nagy

A 3-star recruit has de-committed from Wright State and will join new Saluki Head Coach Scott Nagy at SIU.

Six-foot-ten-inch-245-pound center Jaheem Webber from Normal Illinois made the announcement this (Wednesday) morning on X.

Webber helped lead his Normal Community High School team to a runner-up finish in the Class 4A playoffs in March.

The previous Saluki coaching staff led by Bryan Mullins had recruited Webber before he initially chose Wright State because of Coach Nagy's culture and playing style.

A player recruited by Mullins is staying in Carbondale.

Trey Miller has taken his name out of the transfer portal will play for Coach Nagy this coming season.

Miller played in 24 of the 32 games this past season averaging about seven minutes per game. He averaged just over a point and an assist per game.
