The SIU men's golf team won its fourth Missouri Valley Conference Championship in the last eight seasons on Tuesday.
The Salukis team score of 856 was their lowest score in school history at the MVC Championships and eight shots better than the host Missouri State.
With the tournament victory, Southern advances to the NCAA Regionals.
SIU will find out its regional destination when the field is announced on May 1.
