SIU Faculty Association members have ratified a new four-year collective bargaining agreement with the University.
The Faculty Association represents approximately 400 tenured and tenure-track professors.
The new deal is effective July 1, 2024.
This contract, if approved, will provide raises for full and associate professors with at least $1.2 million dollars in funding upon the completion of the salary study.
The Faculty Association says these raises match long overdue increases to ensure decent promotion raises for years to come.
The total guaranteed increase to faculty is $5.4 million dollars over four years.
