Southern Illinois University’s dental hygiene students are sharpening their clinical skills and giving back to the community through hands-on experience at the university’s on-campus dental clinic.
Under the supervision of licensed professionals, students provide a range of preventive dental services, including cleanings, X-rays, fluoride treatments, and patient education. The experience prepares students for real-world practice while offering affordable oral care to area residents.
The SIU Dental Hygiene Clinic operates by appointment and is open to the public. It serves as a vital part of the university’s health sciences training and community outreach mission.
