Students at more than three dozen southern Illinois high schools will have the opportunity to participate in Saluki Start, a concurrent enrollment program through SIU-Carbondale.

Enrollment for the program opens on Thursday, January 8 and will allow high school students to take SIU courses while in high school at no cost.

To be eligible for Saluki Start, students must first apply to the University and receive their SIU login credentials. Students who have not yet completed the application process are encouraged to do so as soon as possible so that they are ready whenever enrollment opens. This program is on a first come first serve basis.

Through Saluki Start, students may enroll in 100 and 200 level online university courses related to their intended college major, provided space is available. This allows students to begin coursework aligned with their future academic goals while still in high school.

You can review a list of courses by clicking here.
