Ameren is pledging $1 million to help communities recover after last week’s devastating storms and tornadoes across the St. Louis area.
The utility company says $750,000 will go to partner groups like the Red Cross, United Way, and the Salvation Army to help with food, housing, cleanup, and emergency repairs.
Another $250,000 is earmarked for direct energy assistance to eligible customers in Missouri and Illinois who were impacted by the storms.
Ameren says more than 285,000 customers have already had power restored, and crews are continuing repairs.
The company says this donation is part of its commitment to stand with communities during the long road to recovery.
