The Friends of Carbondale Dog Parks received a large grant Monday.
The Egyptian Board of Realtors gave a $5,000 grant to the Friends of Carbondale Dog Parks.
Construction has already begun at the two-and-a-half-acre site at Parrish Park.
Friends of Carbondale Dog Parks President Jane Adams says the grant will be used to purchase two dog water fountains.
“It’s a basin that you put the water into it and then it rinses itself out and we got it frost free so it will be able to work all year.”
Adams says they expect to open the dog park in June.
