State Police Reminding Drivers to Be on the Look Out for Farm Machinery

WSIU Jacob Gordon

COVID-19 has hit the pause button for millions of people in Illinois – but that does not include the state’s farmers.

Illinois State Police is reminding drivers to be more cautious when driving on rural roads.

Farmers will start to be out and about since farming will begin to be in its prime. State Police say motorists are required to follow normal rules of the road when passing.

Police are reminding drivers not to get close to rear of the tractor because you will not be able to see around it.

Most tractors will have an orange sign on the rear that will acts as a slow vehicle sign.
