A Herrin man has been charged with First-Degree Murder.
On Saturday July 13th, The Herrin Police Department requested the Illinois State Police to aid in a death investigation at a residence in the 3100 block of Weaver Road in Herrin.
A female victim was found dead at the residence with multiple gunshot wounds.
During the investigation, ISP identified 38-year-old Tyler Mezo as the shooter. He was arrested and taken into custody. He is being held at the Williamson County Jail pending his first court appearance.
