Local projects to receive infrastructure and housing rehabilitation grants

Several southern Illinois projects are in line to receive over ten million dollars in infrastructure and housing rehabilitation grants.

Six cities and villages are getting Community Development Block Grant for Public Infrastructure for water and sewer improvement projects. These communities are Eldorado, Junction City, Norris City, Grand Tower, Dongola and Tamms.

Five others are receiving housing rehab grants. They include Herrin, Marion, Royalton, West Frankfort and Elkville.
