Five small businesses or ‘Makers’ from southern Illinois have been inducted into the Illinois Made program.
Governor JB Pritzker says in every corner of the state, people from all walks of life are creating delicious food and sharing expert craftsmanship.
“The Illinois Made program selects a group of our most exemplary hidden gems and one-of-a-kind small businesses and encourages Illinoisans and visitors alike to discover the experiences they offer."
The five southern Illinois businesses include:
Glacier's End in Marion -- a farm to shelf agribusiness focused on growing specialty crops
Art Gallery off the Square in Vienna, which supports regional artists, craftsmen and writers
Pulliam Creek Farms Candle Company in Harrisburg featuring all natural 100% coco soy products with a choice of wood or cotton wicks
Crooked Creek Winery in Centralia, which opened in 2020 to help revitalize a historic area of the downtown area
Wayward Wovens of Du Quoin, which highlights fiber artists from the region
Governor Pritzker says he encourages people to support local businesses like these during the holidays.
