Governor Pritzker with Frichtl Processing and Slaughtering announced an Economic Development for a Growing Economy for Startups agreement in Dieterich.

The collaboration with the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity involves Frichtl's $2.5 million investment for the company's and community’s expansion.

The investment enables Frichtl to purchase space in Dieterich's new Industrial Park East and to build a new 10,000-square-foot meat processing and packaging facility.

Pritzker said quote, "Through incentive programs like EDGE for Startups, Illinois is empowering businesses to expand, driving economic growth, and uplifting communities statewide… Bringing a state-of-the-art facility that will create jobs, strengthen the local economy, and support Illinois agriculture."

The facility will process locally sourced beef, hogs, dairy, and deer products.

The project also includes a front retail store selling produce, baking goods, canned goods, and dairy products to meet the community's needs.
