The annual "Makers Madness" contest has been narrowed down to the Top 16 products for voters to decide.
More than 250 products from across the state were nominated for the title of the quote, "The Coolest Thing Made in Illinois."
The bracket-style tournament is hosted by the Illinois Manufacturer's Association and presented by Comcast Business.
Some locally-based manufacturers being featured include:
- Jumbo Marshmallows by Glister-Mary Lee from Chester
- Rain Light Sensor by Forvia Hella in Flora
- ROV Skimmer by Remote Operated Drone Oil Skimmer for Elastec, based in Carmi.
Voting for the next round is now open until Sunday at midnight on the Makers Madness website.
