Heaviest Snow Wednesday Hit Part of Southeast Missouri

Based on reports from weather observers around the region, the heaviest snowfall on Wednesday occurred in the Missouri Ozark Foothills.
The National Weather Service in Paducah says areas around Poplar Bluff and Van Buren reported three to four inches.

In Illinois, Effingham reported 3.1 inches, Carmi in White County had 2.8, Cutler in Perry County checked in at 2.5 and Mt. Vernon had 2.4.

An inch or less was generally reported in the Evansville, Indiana area and a little over an inch in parts of Western Kentucky.
