Some people spent a good portion of their Memorial Day cleaning up from storm damage.

Potential to confirmed tornadoes were reported in southern Illinois, southeast Missouri and western Kentucky from Sunday morning and Sunday night's storms.

The National Weather Service in Paducah sent at least two damage survey teams to survey tornado damage Monday.

One team surveyed tornado damage in from Goreville to the Lake of Egypt area into Saline County in southern Illinois.

Another survey team took a closer look at the long track tornado that impacted locations from near Calvert City to Greenville in western Kentucky.

The teams were going to try to get to southeast Missouri if time allowed.

Officials say it will take several days to survey all the damage from Sunday’s storms.

Straight line wind damage is reported throughout the region with downed trees and power lines.

Power outages have lingered for Ameren customers in parts of southern Illinois and southeast Missouri.

NWS Lincoln has determined the storm north of Xenia was a EF-2 tornado with winds speed at 125 mph. They are yet to determine the storm that hit Charlie Brown park. Officials say the wind speed was from 90-100 mph.
