Carbondale, IL – The Rotary Club of Carbondale will be hosting its Beautiful Southern Ride in Carbondale.
Participants will ride horses on a route ranging from 15 to 60 miles. Starting at Carbondale Middle School... riders will make their way to the surrounding countryside before returning to the school.
The ride was scheduled last year... but cancelled because of the May 8th storm.
Jacquie Betz... the spokesperson for the Ride... says it is important to remember that the ride is not competitive. "It's not a race, it's a ride. It's an opportunity to see the best we have here in southern Illinois, that's what it's all about."
The ride is scheduled for May 15th. Riders can register ahead of time... or the day of the ride.
