Carbondale, IL – Officials at Southern Illinois University welcomed fans and others to Saluki Stadium Tuesday, as the finishing touches are being put on the new facility.
The stadium will seat 15,000 people, and is a part of the multi-million dollar Saluki Way project.
Leaders say the state-of-the-art facility will enhance the experience for both fans and players.
The first event, SIUC's Fall Scrimmage game, is Thursday night at 7:00pm. The Salukis kick off the 2010 season at home against Quincy on Sept. 2.
