Carbondale Police Department is Accepting Applications for The Citizens’ Police Academy

The Carbondale Police Department is now taking applications for its Fall 2025 Citizens’ Police Academy.

The free program gives residents a closer look at police work, from patrol tactics and traffic stops to investigations and crime scenes. Classes run Wednesday evenings from September 24th through November 19th. Graduates can move on to an advanced academy in Spring 2026 with training in use of force and firearms.

Applications are due by September 22nd and are available online or at the Carbondale Police Department.
